Susan is a third generation Houstonian and a graduate of Louisiana State University where she earned her bachelors degree. Susan began her insurance career working on the individual needs of her clients-surveying and writing Personal Lines Insurance. Susan joined GEM in 1982 as an In-House Underwriter for Aetna and Crum & Forster where she worked primarily with commercial accounts, marketing and underwriting new and renewal business. In 1995 she moved to sales and began building her own book of business. She targets General Commerce and Industry, Retail and Wholesale, Engineering & Architects, Staffing, Caterers and Restaurants.

Susan has been involved with a number of charitable organizations and service projects in the Houston community. She has served on the Board of Directors for Crisis Intervention and has given her time to several committees at Congregation Beth Israel and the Jewish Community Center, Maccabi games.

Susan is married and has two sons. Andy is a recent graduate of The University of Southern California where he earned his degree in cinema-television. He now resides in Los Angeles where he is a TV and movie producer. Greg is a student at University of Texas, Austin and is studying business.
